Cost should not be the reason you put off treatment. Tensegrity Sports Clinics treats patients under a range of government and statutory schemes that can pay for all or part of your chiropractic, physiotherapy or remedial massage. This page also explains each one, what it covers and how to get started.
Not sure which scheme applies to you? In that case, call us on 1300 903 929 and we will talk you through it.
Which scheme covers what?
- Medicare chronic condition management plan (EPC): chiropractic and physiotherapy. Not remedial massage.
- DVA (Veteran Card holders): chiropractic and physiotherapy. Not remedial massage.
- NSW workers compensation: chiropractic with our SIRA-approved chiropractors. Remedial massage with insurer approval.
- Support at Home (aged care): chiropractic, physiotherapy and remedial massage.
- Inclusive Employment Australia (formerly Disability Employment Services): treatment arranged and paid for by your employment provider.
- NSW CTP (motor vehicle accidents): chiropractic and physiotherapy approved by your CTP insurer.
- NDIS: physiotherapy for plan-managed and self-managed participants.
Medicare chronic condition management plans (EPC)
If you have a long-term condition, your GP can write a chronic condition management plan. In short, it gives you up to 5 Medicare-supported allied health services per calendar year, shared across all providers. You pay on the day, we lodge the claim, and Medicare pays your rebate into your bank account. Read our full guide: EPC plan chiropractor and physio.
DVA (Department of Veterans’ Affairs)
Veteran Card holders can access chiropractic and physiotherapy with a referral from their usual GP. A Veteran Card (All Conditions) covers treatment for any condition, while a Veteran Card (Specific Conditions) covers your accepted service-related conditions. In addition, we bill DVA directly. Read our full guide: DVA chiropractor and physio.
NSW workers compensation
If you were injured at work, your employer’s insurer can pay for reasonable treatment once you lodge your claim. Our SIRA-approved chiropractors also communicate with your insurer, employer and GP about your recovery and return to work. However, remedial massage needs insurer approval first. Read our full guide: workers compensation chiropractor.
Support at Home and aged care
Older people with a Support at Home package can use it for physiotherapy, chiropractic and remedial massage, in clinic or at home through Tensegrity Home. Your package provider then arranges the service with us. A client contribution may apply to some services, so check with your provider. Read our full guide: Support at Home chiropractor, physio and massage.
Inclusive Employment Australia
If an injury or health condition is making it hard to find or keep work, your Inclusive Employment Australia provider can refer you for treatment such as physiotherapy. The provider then arranges and pays for the service. So ask your provider about a referral to Tensegrity. Read our full guide: Inclusive Employment Australia.
NSW CTP (motor vehicle accidents)
If you were injured in a motor vehicle accident in NSW, your CTP insurer can pay for reasonable treatment once you lodge your claim. After that, we work with your insurer on treatment requests and progress reports. Read our full guide: car accident physio and chiropractor.
NDIS
If your NDIS plan is plan-managed or self-managed, you may be able to use it for physiotherapy at Tensegrity. However, we are not a registered NDIS provider, so we cannot treat participants whose plans are NDIA-managed. The NDIS also does not fund chiropractic, and it funds massage only in limited disability-related cases. So call us before you book, and we will check your plan with you.

Frequently asked questions
Which government schemes does Tensegrity accept?
We treat patients under Medicare chronic condition management plans, DVA, NSW workers compensation, Support at Home, Inclusive Employment Australia, NSW CTP motor accident claims and the NDIS.
Is remedial massage covered by Medicare or DVA?
No. Medicare chronic condition management plans and DVA cover chiropractic and physiotherapy, but not remedial massage. However, Support at Home can fund massage, and so can workers compensation with insurer approval.
Do I need a referral?
It depends on the scheme. Medicare plans and DVA need a GP referral. Workers compensation and CTP need an accepted or lodged claim. For Support at Home, Inclusive Employment Australia and the NDIS, your provider or plan arranges the service. Call us and we will explain what you need.
Can I claim my private health fund instead?
For most appointments, yes, through your extras cover with HICAPS. However, you cannot claim Medicare and your private health fund for the same visit.
