Inclusive Employment Australia: Physio, Chiro and Massage to Help You Find or Keep Work

Is an injury or a health condition making it harder to find work, or to keep the job you have? If you are with an Inclusive Employment Australia provider, your provider may be able to fund treatment at Tensegrity Sports Clinics to help you get back on track.

This guide also explains what the program is, what treatment it can cover and how referrals work.

What is Inclusive Employment Australia?

Inclusive Employment Australia is the Australian Government’s employment program for people with disability, injury or a health condition. It replaced Disability Employment Services (DES), including the Employment Support Service (ESS), in November 2025. In short, your provider helps you prepare for, find and keep a job.

How can it help with treatment?

As well as job search support, your provider can arrange services that remove barriers to work. For example, back pain might stop you from lifting, or a shoulder injury might make a full day at a desk hard. In that case, your provider may refer you for:

  • Chiropractic: at all our clinics.
  • Physiotherapy: at our St Leonards clinic.
  • Remedial massage: where your provider approves it.

How does it work?

  • Talk to your provider. First, ask whether treatment could help you find or keep work.
  • Get a referral. Next, your provider refers you to us and confirms what they will pay for.
  • Start treatment. Then we assess and treat you, and give you exercises to keep up at work and at home.
  • Stay on track. After that, with your consent, we report back to your provider on your progress.

What does it cost?

When your provider approves the treatment, they pay us directly. As a result, you do not pay for those sessions. However, any extra sessions you book outside the referral are at your own cost, and you can claim them through your private health extras if you have cover.

For funded treatment, your provider needs to refer you. Of course, you can always book with us privately and claim through your private health extras.

What if I was hurt at work?

If you were hurt at work, workers compensation usually applies first. In that case, see our guide to workers compensation chiropractic care.
