Support at Home Chiropractor, Physio and Massage: Using Your Aged Care Package

Staying active and independent at home gets harder when a sore back, stiff hips or a fall knocks your confidence. If you have a Support at Home package, you can use it for chiropractic, physiotherapy and remedial massage with Tensegrity Home, either in your own home or at one of our clinics.

This guide also explains what Support at Home covers, what you may need to pay and how to get started.

What is Support at Home?

Support at Home is the Australian Government program that helps older people stay independent at home. It replaced Home Care Packages in November 2025. In short, you get a budget for approved services, and your package provider arranges them with providers like us.

What can you use your package for at Tensegrity?

  • Physiotherapy: listed under allied health, which is part of clinical supports.
  • Chiropractic: listed under therapeutic services for independent living.
  • Remedial massage: also listed under therapeutic services for independent living.

The category matters because it affects what you pay. For clinical supports such as physiotherapy, you do not pay a contribution. For chiropractic and remedial massage, however, a client contribution usually applies. Your package provider can tell you your exact contribution.

Also, if you already have a Medicare chronic condition management plan from your GP, you may need to use those sessions first. Read our guide: EPC plan chiropractor and physio.

How does Tensegrity Home work?

In other words, Tensegrity Home brings the same care our clinics provide into your home. It follows three simple steps:

  • Assess. First, your practitioner assesses how you move, what hurts and what you want to get back to, such as walking to the shops or getting in and out of the car.
  • Treat. Then comes hands-on treatment plus simple exercises you can keep doing between visits.
  • Report. After that, we report back to your package provider and GP, so your care stays connected.

We visit homes across the Hills District, the Upper North Shore, the Lower North Shore, Ryde and Northern Sydney. If you would rather come to us, you can also use your package at our clinics.

In addition, our team speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese, which helps many older clients and their families feel at ease.

How do I get started?

  • Talk to your package provider and ask for chiropractic, physiotherapy or remedial massage with Tensegrity Home.
  • Next, your provider contacts us to arrange the service and agree the details.
  • Then we book your first visit at a time that suits you.

Family members and carers can also call us on your behalf.
