Neck stiff after a week of meetings? Knee sore since your last run? Chiropractic care in Macquarie Park at Tensegrity Sports Clinics Macquarie Park looks after office workers, students, gym-goers and families across Macquarie Park, North Ryde, Marsfield, Eastwood and Epping. Our team consults in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean, so you can explain your pain in the language you think in. Why do people see a chiropractor in Macquarie Park?

Most people who visit us want to get back to something. For example, that might be a full day at the desk without a sore neck, a session at the gym, or simply picking up their kids without thinking twice. Common reasons people book include:

  • Lower back pain and sciatica
  • Neck pain and headaches linked to neck stiffness
  • Shoulder pain, including rotator cuff problems
  • Hip, groin and knee pain, including pain around the kneecap
  • Ankle sprains and ankles that keep rolling
  • Postural strain and repetitive strain from computer work
  • Sport and gym injuries

For some stubborn tendon problems, such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain or calcific shoulder tendonitis, shockwave therapy is also available at this clinic. It is designed to support tendon recovery, and your practitioner will assess whether it suits you first.

Assessment first, then treatment, then rehab

Every case at Tensegrity is built around three questions. What is injured? Why did it happen? How do we get you back to your goal? In short, answering all three is what makes progress last.

  • Assessment. Your practitioner checks how you move, tests the joints, muscles and nerves involved, and asks about your work, training and sleep.
  • Hands-on treatment. Depending on what suits you, this may include chiropractic adjustment or gentle mobilisation, soft tissue therapy and myofascial release.
  • Exercise rehabilitation. You leave with specific exercises and practical changes, such as workstation set-up and movement breaks, so the gains carry into your week.

According to healthdirect Australia, spinal manipulation and other manual therapies may help some people with low back pain, as well as some types of neck pain and headache, especially when combined with exercise. For that reason, exercise is part of every plan.

We also explain every step in plain language. As a result, you know what is going on, why we chose each treatment and what you can do between visits.

What happens at your first visit?

Your first appointment runs for up to 60 minutes. First, we talk about your pain, your health history and your goals. After that, your practitioner completes a physical assessment and explains the findings clearly.

If chiropractic care is right for you, you will agree on a plan together, including how often to come in and how you will measure progress. Many people start with weekly visits, then space them out as they improve. However, if a GP, a physiotherapist or imaging would help more, we will tell you and help you arrange it.
