One team, three therapies: how in-home chiro, physio & massage work together

Back pain, a dodgy knee, a fall, the stiffness that creeps in with age — musculoskeletal problems rarely fit neatly into one type of treatment. A sore back might need joint mobilisation, then strengthening, then soft-tissue work to settle the muscles around it. Seeing three separate practitioners who never talk to each other is slow and disjointed.

Tensegrity Home does it differently: one chiropractic-led team delivering chiropractic, physiotherapy and remedial massage at home, working to a single plan. Here’s how that works, and why it matters.

What “one team, three therapies” means

Tensegrity Home is the in-home division of Tensegrity Sports Clinics — a chiropractic-led musculoskeletal group with seven clinics, 13 years of experience and a 5.0-star reputation across 500+ reviews. We bring that same multidisciplinary care into the home for people who can’t easily get to a clinic.

Rather than choosing between a chiropractor, a physiotherapist or a massage therapist, you’re assessed by clinicians who use whichever combination suits your body and your goals — coordinated, recorded and progressed together.

What each part of the team does

Chiropractic — gentle, hands-on care to improve joint movement and ease pain: joint mobilisation, soft-tissue release, dry needling, and techniques like shockwave and cold-laser. No forceful manipulation.

Physiotherapy — assessment, rehabilitation and reablement: strength, balance and mobility work, falls prevention, post-operative recovery and tailored exercise programs.

Remedial massage — soft-tissue therapy to ease pain, improve circulation and mobility, and support everyday comfort between treatments.

The point isn’t to sell you all three. It’s that the right mix is decided clinically — and delivered by people who share your notes.

Why one coordinated team beats a single practitioner

  • The right treatment, not just the available one. A solo practitioner offers what they do; a team offers what you need.
  • No gaps when someone’s away. Seven clinics back every visit, so you’re not left waiting because one person is on leave.
  • One plan, shared notes. Your clinicians work to the same goals and outcome measures, so progress is tracked, not repeated.
  • A clear path for anything complex. Home visits link back to real local clinics and a specialist referral network when needed.
  • Care in your language. Our team includes Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean speakers.

How it works at home

It starts with an extended home assessment — usually 45 to 60 minutes. A clinician takes a full history, examines you, reviews your home for safety and mobility, and sets goals with you (and your family or carer, if you’d like them there). From that, you get a written care plan that draws on whichever therapies fit, delivered through planned visits and progressed as you improve.

Who it’s for

Anyone for whom getting to a clinic is hard or tiring: older Australians, people recovering from surgery, those living with disability, and anyone managing back pain, joint problems or reduced mobility at home.

What it costs and how it’s funded

It depends on the service. Under Support at Home, physiotherapy sits in the Clinical Care category and is fully funded — $0 to you — when it’s part of your approved care plan. Chiropractic and remedial massage are funded through other pathways: DVA for eligible veterans, Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management plan, private health, or self-pay. We’ll map out exactly what applies before anything starts.
